The flower-shaped JJC LH-EW53 Lens Hood is dedicated to the Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens and helps to minimize flare by deflecting stray light from entering the lens. In addition, the "petal" shape of this lens hood maximizes the amount of hood coverage for the minimum amount of weight and hood area. There is no vignetting with the hood on.
